Western Water is responsible for the provision of water, wastewater and recycled water services to Bulla, Diggers Rest, Macedon, Mt Macedon, Sunbury, Gisborne, Riddells Creek, Woodend, Melton, Rockbank, Bacchus Marsh, Myrniong, Romsey, Lancefield and Toolern Vale.
Westernport Water provides water, wastewater and gas services wherever economically, environmentally and socially practicable to properties and communities throughout its region.
It services approximately 15,000 properties on Phillip Island and an area of the mainland from the Gurdies to Archies Creek. Water is sourced from the Candowie Reservoir in the Bass Hills. This water is treated and distributed to communities. Wastewater services are provided to approximately 95% of properties that receive water.
Westernport Water has two Wastewater Treatment Plants and provides a liquid waste disposal facility, removes minor trade wastes for customers and sells treated wastewater for recreational, horticultural and pastoral activities. Westernport Water aims to provide quality water, wastewater and other utility services. Through the provision of these services Westernport Water aims to enhance the social, environmental and competitive position of the region.
