One Day Interactive Seminar Series

The WIOA One Day Interactive Seminar Series is a collection of “operationally” focused workshops that we offer right around the country. Each 1 Day Seminar features a program that is relevant and targeted specifically at water industry operations and/or maintenance staff from all parts of the Australian water industry. We are well aware that this important group of water industry personnel often struggle to find suitable practically-focused refresher training, professional development and information sharing opportunities.

The following 1 Day Seminars include a short synopsis. All seminars can be customised to fit either a full day or a half day format, or to incorporate site-based, local or region-specific aspects of the topics covered. The WIOA One Day Interactive Workshop on Water Quality Awareness and Distribution System Management is targeted specifically at field staff responsible for the operation or maintenance of the water reticulation network. Practical examples and information on membrane maintenance, inspections and autopsies are presented. The WIOA seminar Optimisation of Water Treatment Processes for Algae and Organics Control is intended for front line drinking water and recycled water operations staff, to improve their knowledge of the key water quality issues associated with the presence of algae (both toxic and non-toxic) and natural organics in source water, treatment options available, and managing and optimising treatment for algae and organics control.
