FIND PURPOSE AND IMPACT

This position is responsible for overseeing the Electrical team and the maintenance and repairs of electrical water supply and sewerage plant and equipment to meet all regulatory requirements, ensuring the provision and improvement of safe, efficient and quality water and sewerage services in the Local Government area of Dubbo Regional Council.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Providing technical oversight, supervision and direction in relevant electrical areas to ensure regulatory requirements are met, including improvement to work processes and practices
  • Working with other teams within Water Supply and Sewerage to schedule and prioritise electrical work
  • Assisting in the preparation and implementation of replacement program for all electrical, electronic telemetry and instrumentation equipment
  • Preparing maintenance or new works contracts for electrical, electronic, telemetry and instrumentation works
  • Participating on and on call roster to provide assistance to faults or failures in the area of expertise

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

You are a team player, who is able to supervise and work well with a small cohesive team.  You are a qualified and experienced industrial electrician who takes pride in your work. You have hands on experience in the maintenance of assets and undertaking electrical fault finding.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Current Electrical Licence/Certificate
  • Qualified Supervisors Certificate or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Class C drivers licence
  • Physical fitness to undertake the inherent requirements of the jobs
  • Sound experience working with electronic and/or telemetry equipment /instruments, and knowledge of water and sewerage treatment procedures.

Attractive annual salary ranging from $91,168 to $105,950 plus 11% superannuation, and applicable industry allowances, is on offer.
