Our Southern Operations team have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Water Services Operator to join us at TasWater.

Responsible for over 80 treatment facilities, with the unique elements of water reuse and recycled water projects, the Senior Operator is a leader in the team ensuring processes are undertaken at optimum performance, our workforce is managed in accordance with our standards and our values and behaviours are displayed in everything we do.

Your day will involve:

  • Assisting the coordinator in ensuring that the teams daily activities are compliant.
  • Advise the coordinator of operational resource requirements, faults and opportunities for improvement, as escalated from the team.
  • Operator water and sewerage infrastructure to meet both corporation and regulatory requirements relating to drinking water quality and effluent compliance limits.
  • Conduct sampling and ‘in system’ treatment as required, while conducting assessments on the conditions of assets and reporting on both, as required.

To be successful and safe in this position, you’ll need to pass a pre-employment medical assessment before you can start and you’ll need to commit to participating in on-call and planned overtime rosters, responding to emergency call-out situations.

The Details;

This permanent full-time position attracts a 9-day fortnight, an hourly rate of $37.94 per hour upon commencement, with progression to $40.05 after successful completion of probation.
On call, call out and additional team specific allowances are available.

Training in water industry operations, water treatment practices and associated skills will be delivered by our training partners, while coaching and mentoring from skilled and experienced staff will be ongoing throughout your career.
