Goulburn Valley Water (GVW) provides quality water and wastewater services to 54 towns in North Central Victoria. Our core purpose is to deliver safe, reliable and affordable water services to residential, commercial and industrial customers.

We are looking for an experienced administration officer to join our team.

Based in Shepparton, you will provide complete administrative assistance to the Land Development team to enable them to manage and coordinate the process required for water and sewer infrastructure connections.

You have exceptional organisation, time management and coordinator capabilities with the ability to work independently or within a team environment.

A commitment to providing high quality service delivery along with a critical eye for detail and accuracy makes you a standout for this role.

You know your way around computer programs and are adept with MS Office and databases allowing you to learn and adapt to multiple systems.

 

About your new role… 

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the land development process in relation to water and wastewater infrastructure.

Strengths in communication and building relationships allows you to engage and work closely with all teams within the Corporation. Externally you will foster positive relationships with local Councils and the Land Development industry to support regional growth.

If not already familiar, you will have the ability to quickly develop a solid understanding of land development processes, water and wastewater infrastructure and relevant regulations.

Based at the Shepparton Operations Centre where you will enjoy being part of a working environment amongst technical and operational staff with the bonus of hassle-free parking! You will be afforded the ability to work flexibly, in line with GVW’s flexible working policy.

About you…
To be considered for this role you must have demonstrated some of the following;

  • Certificate 3 in Business Administration or similar is preferred.
  • Experience in a customer service and administrative environment.
  • Strong ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong computer, administrative and report writing skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively.
  • A strong safety value aligned to commitment and focus.
  • Committed to contributing positively to your team and the organisation.

  • Classification GVW2: $55,142 – $74,025 + super (salary starting point is dependent upon relevant qualifications, skills and experience)
