Darren Lord from TasWater wins 2016 PASS Award
Congratulations to Darren Lord on winning the 2016 PASS (Problem Accepted Solution Supplied) Award. Darrens innovation that has reduced the OHS issues associated with transferring Sodium Hypochlorite from containers and drums will see him join other WIOA memebrs on teh WIOA tour to New Zealand in April May this year.
Nambucca Shire has the best tasting tap water in NSW?
Congratulations to the team from Nambucca Shire Council on winning the Ixom 2016 NSW Water Taste Test. The sample from the Bowraville WTP will now represent NSW later in the year in bioththe National Championship and the Water of Origin against Queensland at the WIOA Queensland conference to be held in Rockhampton.
NSW Conference a great success
Over 750 individuals attended the 10th NSW Water Industry Operations Conference and Exhibition held in Newcastle. We thank all who shared their stories with attendees by preenting a paper or poster and congratlaute all the award winners at this event.

Marysville wins Silver Medal at World Water Taste Test
Congratulations to the team at Goulburn Valley Water’s Marysville Water Treatment Plant for winning a silver medal at the International Drinking Water Competition. WIOA is keen to go for gold in 2017 and will select our Australian entry from our Ixom Water Taste Tests conducted in 2016.
