The Water Industry Operators Association of Australia (WIOA) is a national non-for-profit association with a primary role of facilitating the collection, development and exchange of quality information between people undertaking operational roles in the water, wastewater and recycled water industries.
TasWater wins the Ixom Best Tasting Tap Water in Australia Competition
WIOA is pleased to announce the Barrington WTP in Tasmania (TasWater) as the winner of the Ixom 2016 Best Tap Water in Australia competition. Barrington and TasWater will get bragging rights for the next 12 months and will go on to represent Australia at the International Water Tasting Competition held in the USA.

Queensland Water Interest Day - Brisbane
The WIOA Queensland Advisory Group will be holding a Water Interest Day to be held at the Luggage Point Sewage Treatment Plant on Thursday 24 November 2016. The program includes a number of technical presentations and will conclude with a tour of the QUU Innovation Centre and innovation showcase.
