The Mid-Western Region is located in the Central Tablelands of NSW, just over 3 hours from Sydney. As the Mid-Western Region continues to grow and prosper at a steady rate, Council currently employs over 400 people and now has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Strategic Engineering Coordinator to support the Manager Water and Sewer by leading and managing a team of engineering and technical staff in planning for efficient and effective water supply and sewerage systems. This includes cost effective delivery of a program of capital works, provision of technical advice to ensure appropriate developer contributed water supply and sewerage asset creation, and contribution to strategic planning that informs Council’s Delivery Program and annual Operational Plan.

This position would suit a candidate with a can-do attitude who is self-motivated with great communication skills (both verbal and written), has an eye for detail and is well organised.

To be successful in this role you will hold a Degree in Engineering or equivalent recognised by the Institution of Engineers Australia and previous experience managing direct and indirect reports in a technical environment.

We offer a competitive Total Remuneration Package, negotiable between $125000 and $140000 per annum (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience) plus superannuation, a 19 day month and long service leave after 5 years. A leaseback vehicle is available as part of the package.
