NWPTRT007 – Monitor and operate liquefied chlorine gas disinfection processes
Course Content
This course is designed for operators with a specific responsibility for disconnecting and connecting liquefied chlorine gas containers. The content covers the skills required to monitor and operate liquefied chlorine gas disinfection systems and report on process quality control, whilst working safely.
The course provides an understanding of what CHLORINE is and how it behaves in the event of an emergency. AS2927:2019 states all personnel working with chlorine and its associated equipment shall receive “Formalized” chlorine training in operating and emergency procedures.
Information, training and instructions must be provided to all workers directly involved in the storage or handling of chlorine containers, as well as operation or maintenance staff to perform their work in a way that is safe and minimizes risks.
The Pre-Requisite unit for this course is MSMWHS216 Operate Breathing Apparatus (above). Total Chlorine Solutions can provide this training also if required.
