Our Treatment Plant Operators play a crucial role in protecting the environment and public health through our core treatment services across our 26 Resource Recovery Centres. You are truly at the forefront of enriching the lives of over 1.6 million people every day.
As a TPO, you will support the delivery of day-to-day operational outcomes at our Resource Recovery Centres including safety, production, compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements and financial performance.
Some of your accountabilities will include:
- Support the operations team via routine allocated tasks to deliver reliable and efficient customer service activities of core wastewater treatment, including the provision of recycled water, off network waste and co-digestion receivals.
- Carry out simple inspection and cleaning tasks, following instructions and working under direct or indirect supervision to complete the allocated tasks
- Follow a range of mandatory procedures and methods of work to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
- Provide operational support by performing a range of routine activities using existing systems and protocols.
- Carry out operational tasks by following established processes. For non-routine or abnormal events, escalation to Operators for support is required.
About You:
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our future, and ideally have the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
- A willingness and desire to learn, be curious, and build relationships with colleagues
- Interpersonal communication skills including the ability to liaise with other technical and professional personnel
- Foundational understanding of mechanical principals
- C class drivers’ license
