The role
As a Trainee Process Controller you will be trained in all facets of treatment plant operations including process control, laboratory testing and maintenance of process equipment. You will also assist with operational support at TRILITY’s Campaspe Water Reclamation Scheme in Echuca and other TRILITY operational sites from time to time.
You will be expected to study required training material including Water Industry Certificate III in Wastewater Operations including studying during non-work hours.
Once deemed competent, you will participate in a 1 in 4 on call roster.
Responsibilities
Learn to make decisions relating to the treatment plant(s) biological, chemical and treatment processes.
Become competent to undertake on-site analyses and testing to monitor plant performance including process equipment
Under guidance of Process Controllers assist with maintenance activities (both planned and unplanned) and become competent in our maintenance software
Become competent to operate biological treatment processes and chemical systems.
Follow all TRILITY systems for Safety, Quality and Environment and ensure that all activities undertaken comply with approved plans
Keep up to date record across all areas
What we are looking for
Desire to gain experience and qualifications in the water industry
Hold a current Drivers Licence
Show aptitude to study Certificate III in Wastewater Operations to achieve certification
Be able to work within a team environment and also work independently
Show enthusiasm and dedication
Tertiary, trade, scientific or engineering qualifications would be highly regarded
Willing to participate in on call roster
