This Opportunity

As the Manager Operational Plans and Monitoring within the Operations business group at TasWater you’ll play a pivotal role in leading and managing specialist technical teams.

Your primary responsibilities will include workforce schedule planning, network and treatment plant systems monitoring, and overseeing the dispatch of work to our field teams.

This position requires you to ensure that policies are developed, published, and maintained effectively to utilise our workforce efficiently while maintaining safety through advanced technology systems.

You will be accountable for driving these initiatives and ensuring they align with TasWater’s operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will manage three critical technical teams, each specialising in essential functions of TasWater operations:

  • Operations Centre team: This team operates 24/7 and requires meticulous oversight of rosters and shift coverage plans. You will be responsible for proposing new shift structures and processes to optimise operations.
  • Fault and Emergency Dispatch team: You will introduce innovative dispatching techniques that enhance response times and improve tracking of workforce locations while managing fatigue risks.
  • Planning and Scheduling team: Act as a liaison between the team and operations leadership, addressing work scheduling issues and collaborating with the assets team to refine planned maintenance programs.

The Details

This is a permanent full-time position that will be based in Devonport, with opportunities to work from home or from our operational sites and offers flexibility in working hours so you can do the things that matter to you.

The position attracts a total remuneration package circa $189,000 per annum (including superannuation).
