Operator

The Position

The Operator (Treatment) will work collaboratively with the Water Team, and under the direction of Senior Operators, to achieve the safe and efficient treatment of Water and Wastewater at Council treatment facilities. Ongoing training and development within the role will see the Operator gain a Cert III qualification in Water Industry Operations (Water and Wastewater).

About You

You will have demonstrated experience working in labouring or general construction/maintenance work in an outdoor field environment with the ability to problem solve and follow direction and work programs. You will have a basic knowledge of plant and materials used in the Water and Wastewater industry and the physical ability to undertake duties in tropical conditions.

You must have a current Queensland Class “C” Drivers Licence. See full list of Selection Criteria in the relevant Position Description.
