As the Principal Water Services Engineer, you will provide technical leadership in water and sewage engineering to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective service delivery that aligns with Council’s strategic objectives.
- Tertiary qualifications in civil or water engineering are compulsory.
- Demonstrated knowledge of water and sewage design, operations, contract management, procurement and budget monitoring.
- Strong technical writing, analytical and hydraulic network modelling skills, attention to detail and ability to produce necessary engineering calculations and reports
- Flexible, able to prioritise competing demands, work under pressure and provide clear technical guidance to operational staff
- Demonstrated experience in the use and application of computer software packages (MS Office, MS Project, GeoSCADA/ClearSCADA, network modelling software, asset management software)
- Leadership and mentoring skills, with the skill to facilitate the transfer of information and technical knowledge.
