Acciona TRILITY Joint Venture (ATJV) are seeking to engage an enthusiastic and driven Process Controller for our team on the Mundaring Water Treatment Plant Project in WA. You’ll join an innovative and collaborative team and have various opportunities to expand your knowledge and experience within our business.
About the Role
As a Process Controller, you are responsible for all aspects of the plant’s day to day operation, including process monitoring and control, laboratory testings and perform preventive maintenance plans to ensure performance of the water treatment plant and associated infrastructure to the required standards.
In this role you will be required to work on a shift rotation roster which will depend on the Water Plant operation & production and the team availability.
Answering to the Team Leader key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring ATJV systems for Safety, Quality and Environment are used and that all activities undertaken on site comply with these plans
- Undertaking on site analyses and testing to determine plant performance and make adjustments to flow and chemical dosing as appropriate.
- Liaising with the client on demand and flow changes, quality and on the status of plant and equipment
- Being available to give advice or assistance during out of hours periods from time to time
- Ensuring that appropriate risk assessment and JSEA’s are developed in line with ATJV’s procedures
- Participating in audit processes to ensure compliance with ATJV plans
- Assisting in the commissioning of new plant and equipment as necessary, including testing of plant equipment and verification of plant performance
- Routine plant inspections and maintenance including calibration of instruments including calibration of instrumentation.
- Liaising with the Asset & Maintenance Coordinator regarding raising Work Orders for preventative maintenance works.
Qualifications
- TAFE qualification as Certificate III in Water Operations/Water Industry Operations or similar and/or
- Tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering / similar
- Demonstrated experience in both water treatment chemistry and instrumentation; and operating any chemical dosing machinery as well as a good understanding of water treatment operations.
- Being an adaptable, flexible and effective communicator with solid problem solving, decision making and interpersonal skills are essential attributes that you’ll need to possess in order to be a success in this role.
- Having experience and knowledge of water industry issues, chlorine gas handling and experience in the use of SCADA systems will be highly desirable.
