Best Ever FNQ Interest Day
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the WIOA FNQ Interest Day in Cairns on Friday, 16 October. It was a fantastic day bringing the water industry community together for technical presentations, knowledge sharing, networking and some friendly competition.
With over 80 attendees this was our biggest yet for the region!
The program featured presentations from operators and industry representatives covering topics including operator training and experience, filter media investigations, commissioning, ammonium testing and asset data. The day also included a main tapping demonstration, followed by lunch and barefoot bowls, wrapping up with presentations to the winning team.
The main tapping times were too close to call, so teams form Cairns Regional Council and Cassowary Coast Council will be both attending the 2027 QLD Conference.
A big thank you to all our presenters, sponsors and everyone who contributed to making the day possible and a huge success. We’d also like to acknowledge Cairns Regional Council as host sponsor, TRILITY, the event sponsor, and Coogee Chemicals and HACH as the support sponsors.
Thank you again to everyone who attended and helped make the Cairns Interest Day such an enjoyable industry event.
