Irrigation Channel Operator

Are you looking for a hands-on, outdoor role that plays a vital part in delivering water to farms and communities? We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Irrigation Channel Operator to join our operations team.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain open channel irrigation systems
Monitor and adjust water flow to meet delivery schedules
Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on channel infrastructure
Record water usage data and report anomalies
Respond to faults or blockages and assist in emergency repairs
Liaise with customers and report issues to supervisors as needed
Adhere to WH&S, environmental and operational procedures at all times
Skills & Attributes:
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently in outdoor environments
Good communication and record-keeping skills
Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
Current driver’s licence (essential)
Experience in irrigation, farming, or water operations (advantageous)
