The role

In this role, you’ll provide engineering technical support, project management and contract administration associated with major maintenance and minor capital optimisation projects across Major System’s operational assets to achieve ongoing provision of water and wastewater services for our customers within regulatory and industry guidelines and standards.

If you like the idea of seeing a project through from start to finish and have the engineering gifts to complement that, you’ll be suited to this role. You’ll be supported by one of our senior engineers as you plan the project, develop specifications, prepare and evaluate tenders, supervise construction to its successful commissioning.

The role offers a combination of office based work and opportunities to get onto site amongst the action. Here you will be supervising construction making sure works are conducted safely and to specification.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience working within the civil or mechanical engineering discipline
  • Experience in the delivery and management of construction projects for water industry infrastructure or equivalent
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Sound approach to writing and reviewing technical specifications and preparing contract documentation
