The Water and Sewer Department of Mid-Western Regional Council are seeking a Level 2 Water and Sewer Operator to carry out the installation, maintenance and operation of Council’s water and sewer infrastructure including the treatment plants, pump stations and reticulation systems.

Ideally you will have completed a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations, or equivalent, but we will consider applicants that have been working in a related field. The position may offer a significant training opportunity for the successful incumbent, with Council offering training opportunities associated with treatment facility operations as Council’s business requires.
Apart from skills and experience, we need a staff member who is hardworking, punctual and prepared to have a go at whatever job is thrown their way. We need someone that can work independently and also able to get along with others in a team environment.
The core hours for this role are 76 hours over a nine day fortnight and offers a gross salary of $1983-$2232 per fortnight plus superannuation.
The position will require participation in a roster to provide out of hours and on call services to meet Council’s operational and customer service obligations. Where work is required out of normal hours, penalty rates and industry allowances, in addition to the salary detailed above, apply.
