Primary purpose of the role

This role is responsible for the delivery of municipal services for the Perisher Range Resorts within Kosciuszko National Park.

The successful applicant will be based in Perisher Valley year round and supervise a team of up to ten technical, trade and administrative staff managing water, wastewater, stormwater and roads.

A degree in Engineering is essential as well as an Australian drivers licence and the successful applicant will need to be willing to operate an oversnow vehicle and respond to after hours incidents as required. National Parks and Wildlife Service manages, conserves and cares for land in national parks and reserves. NPWS links customer, conservation and cultural outcomes in a sustainable way by building participation in the management and use of parks.

Essential requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental or related discipline), with qualifications and experience that would enable admission to membership of the Institution of Engineers (Australia).
  • Extensive experience in civil engineering works, and the provision of municipal services such as water supply, wastewater, solid waste, stormwater and roads.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and contract management (preparation, tendering, evaluation) and managing contractors.
  • Current Australian driver’s licence and the capacity and willingness to attend after hours emergency situations as required.

A Recruitment Pool may be established for future temporary and ongoing roles with similar focus capabilities. The Recruitment Pool may be available to hiring managers from DPE and other NSW Public Sector agencies over a 12-month period.
