Full Time Ongoing with Monthly RDO
$82,717 – $85,832 plus relevant allowances

Based in Innisfail with regular travel across the region

The Position
As the Program Planner Water, you will work collaboratively with the Water Services Team to ensure the delivery and quality of Council’s Drinking Water Quality Management Plans, Customer Service Charter and Annual Reporting obligations. You will conduct operational activities pertaining to Council’s Water and Sewerage systems, such as:

• Maintaining the Asset Management System, coordinating maintenance schedules and the renewal and prioritisation programs;
• Developing and maintaining programs and systems to ensure accurate and timely data collection and record- keeping, ensuring compliance of relevant policies, and legislation (i.e. Water Safety and Reliability Act 2008);
• Assisting in the delivery of reports, budget allocation reviews and information exchange; and
• Assisting in the management of the Water Services’ customer request logs (conducting investigations, works prioritisation, referrals and responses).

About You
You will have one of the following: a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline (accepted by Engineers Australia); or an Associate Diploma of Engineering or similar discipline, combined with extensive experience and competence to perform the accountabilities of the role.

It is essential that you have knowledge and experience in the application of relevant legislation, Standards, and guidelines associated with Water and Sewerage Infrastructure (i.e. Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008). You must also have a General Safety Construction Induction Card and Current “C” class drivers licence for this role. – See a full list of the essential and desirable Selection Criteria, in the Position Description
