Central Highlands Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled individual to join the team as Coordinator Water and Sewer Network.

In this role you will coordinate works to the networks infrastructure within the Central Highlands region and ensure ongoing delivery of this essential service to the community.

We are looking for a well-developed leader with specialised skills in network maintenance. This is a varied role and includes in field and office-based activities to ensure the efficient and effective network maintenance across Central Highlands region.

In this role, you will support the organization by:

  • Ensuring the ongoing operation of the network infrastructure
  • Using your existing leadership capabilities & abilities to motivate a network team to achieve high quality outcomes
  • Planning, coordinating and scheduling daily work of the network maintenance works and crew activities
  • Procuring goods and services to support daily activities
  • Leading and fostering a positive and safety focused culture

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

  • A calm and measured approach in the prioritisation of reactive activities to achieve successful outcomes with minimal or no impact to customers
  • Experience in network maintenance scheduling and data collection with an emphasis on regulatory reporting
  • Extensive demonstrated technical skills and knowledge of water distribution and wastewater collection systems including maintenance techniques
  • A commitment to customer and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Plumbing Trade, Water industry worker (civil) Level 3, Cert III – Network Operations, Tertiary qualification in Engineering or suitable alternative degree/qualification
  • Competency in a wide range of Microsoft programs
  • Queensland C Class Drivers Licence
