Wagga Wagga City Council’s sewerage network services over 18,000 residential and 2,000 non-residential properties. The sewerage network consists of 531 km of gravity and pressure mains and 36 pump stations. Last year over 5,800 ML of sewage was transported through Wagga’s sewerage network.
All sewage is transported to one of Council’s six sewage treatment plants where solids are removed and the remaining wastewater is further treated to remove impurities. The treated effluent is either discharged to the river or reused for irrigation.

Western Water is responsible for the provision of water, wastewater and recycled water services to Bulla, Diggers Rest, Macedon, Mt Macedon, Sunbury, Gisborne, Riddells Creek, Woodend, Melton, Rockbank, Bacchus Marsh, Myrniong, Romsey, Lancefield and Toolern Vale.
