An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Manager, Operations & Maintenance to join Isaac Regional Councils Water & Wastewater directorate, based in Moranbah. This position is responsible for reliably and safely delivering on its customer service standard commitments to domestic and commercial customers across all IRC water and wastewater operations. Additionally, the role is responsible for safety, quality and environmental system implementation as well as strategic and operational asset management and regulatory compliance. The scope of this role encompasses Water and Wastewater reticulation, treatment and distribution, bulk water storage, laboratory services, SCADA, catchment and recreation management, technical trades and associated service level agreements.
The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline plus eligibility as a chartered professional engineer. Post graduate qualifications in Business Management, Asset Management, Maintenance Management, Operations Management (or similar) would be viewed favourably.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a local government management position (or similar), ‘C’ class drivers licence and general construction safety card are essential.
